More good stuff

Hey! I’m back with even more good stuff. Let’s start out with this story of a mammal that survived the meteor that killed the dinosaurs.

16_24_50_151_file This beast is Necrolestes Patagonensis, meaning grave robber since it lived underground. It was alive after the death of dinosaurs, but it was related to another mammal that lived before the dino death. The Grave Robber was just recently discovered – how can that be? This is the Lazarus effect, which is where something was around a lot longer than expected. For example, the Ginko tree – they were thought to be extinct until someone found one. Scientists think it took so long to find the Grave Robber because of it’s extraordinary burrowing powers. Crazy!

Next, check out this gravity-powered lamp. No batteries or fuel required – all you do is fill a bag with sand or rocks or dirt or whatever, and as it descends, working by a pulley system, it gives half an hour of light. I couldn’t find the video on YouTube to put here, but here’s the link.

Check out an awesome flying lego drone! This lego drone can fly in the air and even complete predetermined missions in autopilot mode. Once again, here’s the link.

Finally, a song made out of old computer parts:

The song is Somebody That I Used To Know by Gotye. A glockenspiel is used for the xylophone, Two hard drives for the drums and cymbal, an HP Scanjet 3C for vocals, and two oscilloscopes for guitar and bass. Crazy!

Well, that’s it for now. Comment to let me know how I’m doing!
