Ted Talk 2

Top o’ the morning! I have another Ted talk for you today. This one is “what’s left to explore?” I chose this video because I love exploring, and I couldn’t wait to find out where we should explore next!

Ted Talk

Hey! Today’s post is just a video-no more, no less. This video is called “4 lessons learned from robots”. I enjoyed it very much, and I think you will too! I chose this video because it sounded good, and I am also fascinated by robots, so it seemed like a video worthy of watching. Enjoy!

Treehugger articles

G’day! Today’s post is about 3 articles I read on Treehugger.com, an Eco-friendly website. Hope you enjoy!

The first article was “iPad Stays Safe in SLim, Eco-Friendly Sleeve”. The iPad 3 is out, and you probably don’t want it damaged, so you get a protective case. Unfortunately, most of these cases are made from non-renewable, toxic materials. Luckily, there is a solution. The Wool Felt iPad sleeve is made by Grove, a company with entirely hand-made products. The Wool Felt iPad sleeve is made from wool, and has a bamboo veneer. It doesn’t add extra weight, so just slip it on, clamp it shut, and you’re done.

The second article was “Last 12 Months Were Hottest on Record for US”. According to NOAA, May 2011 through April 2012 has been the hottest period for the US since 1800. NOAA also says that last summer was the second hottest, last winter was the fourth warmest, and last March was the hottest on record. 22 states had record breaking warmth, and 19 more had top 10 hottest temperatures.

The last article was “Parachuting Mice to Battle Invasive Snakes in Guam.” Soon after brown tree sankes invaded Guam, experting have sent parachuting mice to battle them. The method is to lace the mice with poison, then parachute them from the helicopter. Any brown tree snake that eats one will die from the poison.

Well, that’s the end of today’s post. Check out my other posts, and feel free to post a comment!
